Here is a rather blatant violation of fundamental rights of freedom of expression. For years, we talked about how the class action process is often consumed, so that lawyers are very rich, while doing almost nothing to the "class" they represent. In extreme cases, we have seen a "transaction" to which the defendants in class actions better, while making lawyers (of course) very rich. Stories of companies that are forced to pay millions of dollars, none of this with a real desire "victims" are more common than you might imagine.



So when Majed Mughni Dearborn Michigan heard of a class action settlement on McDonald sold without halal Chicken McNuggets it is advertised as halal, decided to protest against the settlement and try to get others to do so. The agreement was called the cy pres settlement in which lawyers are paid and the defendant agrees to give some money to charity, not to the class (approximately $ 700,000 in this case ). There are sometimes good reasons to make a cy pres award, but it can also be abused. Settlement agreements, by law, a period of time in which people are free to oppose an agreement before the adoption, and Mughni was exactly that, though sometimes crudely, with a Facebook page which may have gone too far in their demands. Mughni was thwarted by the nature of the cy pres award, but also with the fact that there was no order as McDonalds blocks do the same thing.

However, Paul Levy, who is now Mughni clearly indicates in his blog about the petition filed in the case, the court issued an injunction against the General Mughni, prohibiting him from discussing the case while forcing to publish the lawyers in the case, appears to be a violation of the First Amendment rather obvious:
